Jerk Salmon

This is an easy quick way to cook a Flavorful piece of Salmon. Just enough spice with a juicy piece of fish.

Ingredients

  • Large piece of Fresh Salmon, skin on

    Spurzile’s Jerk Butter

    Lemon Juice

    Sea Salt

Cooking the Salmon

  1. Take large bowl, fill with water. Submerge Salmon in the water. Add lemon juice and sea salt. Let soak for 10-15 minutes. This kills any impurities in the fish that can be harmful, and enhances the flavor.
  2. Preheat oven to 425*F.
  3. Drain the water. Heat a pan on medium-high on the stove. Add jerk butter to the pan, and allow to melt.
  4. Add the salmon to the pan, with the skin down. Cook for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Flip the salmon.
  6. Baste the butter on the salmon with a baster.
  7. Allow fish to blacken and start to cook.
  8. Place salmon on cookie sheet and place in the preheated oven. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  9. Remove from oven and enjoy.

We like it cooked all the way through, but some might like a little bit of pink left, adjust cooking time according to preferred doneness. Serve with your favorite side dish, rice and asparagus go wonderful with this fish!
