Cooking the Salmon

  1. Take large bowl, fill with water. Submerge Salmon in the water. Add lemon juice and sea salt. Let soak for 10-15 minutes. This kills any impurities in the fish that can be harmful, and enhances the flavor.
  2. Preheat oven to 425*F.
  3. Drain the water. Heat a pan on medium-high on the stove. Add jerk butter to the pan, and allow to melt.
  4. Add the salmon to the pan, with the skin down. Cook for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Flip the salmon.
  6. Baste the butter on the salmon with a baster.
  7. Allow fish to blacken and start to cook.
  8. Place salmon on cookie sheet and place in the preheated oven. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  9. Remove from oven and enjoy.

We like it cooked all the way through, but some might like a little bit of pink left, adjust cooking time according to preferred doneness. Serve with your favorite side dish, rice and asparagus go wonderful with this fish!
